Laura Sutton
About the artist
Laura is a Sydney based artist and her practice largely consists of Perspex constructed works.
Through an engagement with colour and light these works create visual engagement that evolves as the viewer engages with the sculpture.
Laura completed her Masters of Fine Art majoring in Sculpture at the National Art School. She has gone on to participate in numerous exhibitions at a range of galleries including Gallery Klei, Factory 49, Crawford Gallery and Stacks Gallery.
Laura has completed several large scale interior sculptures on commission for private clients. The most challenging commissions include a pair of 3m long window shutters that slide along a track to fit together when not in use. The largest commission thus far is a huge suspended Perspex work which extends 3m x 1m x 3m.
